Volunteer opportunities
Land and Water Stewardship
Join us in caring for the lands and waters of Kuruvungna Springs through native plant stewardship, ecological restoration, and grounds care. Volunteers interested in learning more about California native plants, TEK, Indigenous Knowledge and Science, and reciprocal relationships with land and water are invited to learn alongside community members and experienced stewards while supporting the ongoing care of this sacred place.
Museum Stewardship
Support the Kuruvungna Springs Museum and Cultural Center. Volunteers interested in community-engaged methods, Gabrielino/Tongva cultural heritage and ongoing practices, history, archives, and museum practices can assist with collections care, research, documentation, exhibition preparation, and the organization of educational materials while learning about the histories and living cultural significance of Kuruvungna Springs.
Community Stewardship
Help welcome and care for the communities who gather at Kuruvungna Springs. Volunteers can support community events, educational programs, visiting groups, Open Houses, and other gatherings through welcoming visitors, event setup and cleanup, outreach, and general site support while learning about the ongoing cultural and community life of Kuruvungna Springs.
